Your First Visit

Your pet is an important part of your life, and important to us as a patient. Together, we will ensure your pet stays happy and healthy by discussing his/her habits, activities, and environmental surroundings. Knowing about these areas will help provide your pet with the best possible treatment.

When entering the hospital, please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier, we wouldn’t want any accidents happening. Greeting you at the front desk will be a client service representative; she will check you in and have you complete a registration form. Please bring any previous medical documents or adoption papers so we can create an accurate record for your pet and be able to provide you with the highest level of care.

After all necessary paperwork; an outpatient nurse will escort you and your pet into an exam room where she will ask you some questions regarding your pet’s environment and health history. This will help determine if vaccinations are up to date, and which vaccinations would be appropriate for your pet. A fecal test may also be taken at this time to check for possible parasites.

When meeting with the doctor, she will perform a complete head-to-tail physical exam and will be there to talk about any concerns and answer all questions you may have regarding your pet’s health. Our goal is to educate you about pet-care while helping provide a long and healthy lifetime for your companion.
