General Practice

At the Animal Hospital of Nashua, we provide complete veterinary care services, specializing in the treatment of dogs and cats, medicine and surgery.  Our stellar doctors, staff and the services we have to offer demonstrate our complete dedication to your pet's needs and overall well-being.

 

Routine Services and Appointments

Your pet is important, not only as a patient receiving medical care, but as a unique member of your family deserving personal attention.  As such, we offer a full range of routine veterinary services.  From the moment you walk in the door, our experienced staff will assist you and your pet.  During routine visits, we will ask you about any changes in your pet's diet and behavior, examine coat and gums, check breathing and heartbeat and make sure all vaccinations are up to date.  We encourage you to ask questions of us as well and express any concerns you may have about your pet.

This is a full service veterinary hospital including:

  • nail trimming and gland expressions
  • dental cleaning
  • preventative medicine
  • microchip identification

An extensive state-of-the-art laboratory prepared to do immediate analysis of blood, urine and stool samples.  This is extremely important in diagnosing, treating and assessing follow-up care. Our facilities also house: an advanced critical care unit, complete x-ray services, ultrasound equipment, surgical suite with full monitoring devices and a recovery ward.

 

Enhanced Veterinary Services

  • Medical services including gastroenterology, dermatology, urology, oncology, ophthalmology, endocrinology, and cardiology. 
  • Surgery including elective procedures and major surgeries.
  • Dentistry services to ensure the health of your pet's teeth and gums.
  • 24-hour emergency care with veterinarians and support staff on duty round the clock. 
  • Advanced critical care unit.
  • In-house X-ray services. 
  • In-house ultrasound.
  • Specialty services, such as advanced orthopedic surgery, endoscopy or cardiology performed by specialists in our hospital.

We believe in continually improving our skills and techniques in the areas of medical and surgical practice.  Staff and doctors attend conferences and seminars throughout the year to be sure that the very latest in medicine and technology are available to you and your pet.  In addition to attending lectures and seminars, we maintain and extensive and constantly updated library.  This means better service for you and your pet.  We are proud to have achieved the highest level of certification as a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

 

Prescriptions and Medications

A well-stocked pharmacy is housed within our facility making therapeutic treatment convenient.  For medications not available at the Animal Hospital of Nashua, will will gladly call in a prescription to a local pharmacy.

 

Fees

A fee estimate will be provide upon admission.  The fee structure is determined by an examination and an emergency fee.  The emergency fee is based on the time of day or night.  Other fees are dependent on testing procedures, treatment, and hospitalized care.  Hospitalized cases require a deposit and all expenses are payable in full at the time the pet is discharged.  All major credit cards, cash and checks are accepted as payment.

 

Examination Rooms

Our facility boasts 8 large exam rooms in warm inviting tones.  Each is equipped with examination table, comfort seating for the client and a doctor's station.
