Leo Bishop, DVM

Dr. Leo Bishop

 




Dr. Leo Bishop grew up in rural Michigan. He received both his undergraduate degree and Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University. He founded The Animal Hospital of Nashua in 1985.  In 1995, the hospital moved across the street into the custom-built facility you see today, and in 1997, became a 24-hour hospital.  Leo now spends his time overseeing staffing and operations at AHN.  In his spare time, Leo enjoys traveling, reading, attending continuing education seminars, and spending time with his family, two dogs, and one cat.

Margaret Monachelli, DVM

Dr. Monachelli

Dr. Margaret Monachelli completed her Post-Graduate Pre-medical studies at Columbia University and received her Doctor of Veterinary medicine Degree from Cornell University where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She has published numerous articles in medical journals including Neurosurgery and the Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow.  Dr. Monachelli’s advanced skills in internal medicine and surgery enable her to comfortably manage our most challenging cases. 

As a family practice veterinarian, Dr. Monachelli has more than 16 years of experience in caring for the needs of pets, and she understands the importance of the bond between pets and their “humans.”  She believes that client communication and education is crucial to optimal patient care, and strives to provide her clients with the most advanced medical information and techniques to give their pets the very best quality of life.

Kelly Hansen, DVM

 

Dr. Hansen

Dr. Kelly Hansen originally grew up in Massachusetts before her family moved to Wisconsin. Dr. Hansen completed two years of undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin prior to early acceptance into veterinary school. Dr. Hansen received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine. Following her graduation, she completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth, MA. Dr. Hansen made the move to New Hampshire when she joined our staff in August of 2005.

Dr. Hansen's areas of interest include preventative medicine, geriatric medicine, and dentistry. She finds veterinary medicine extremely rewarding and greatly values the human-animal bond.

When not at work Dr. Hansen is spending time outdoors. She enjoys gardening, hiking, kayaking and going to the beach. She currently lives in Southern New Hampshire and shares her home with her two cats, Jack and Colby, both adopted from the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Patti Dressel, DVM

 

 

 Dr. Dressel

 

Dr. Dressel is a New England native, growing up in Massachusetts and completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Vet/Animal Sciences from the University of Vermont. Dr. Dressel was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Anatomy and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Colorado State University. She worked in a large twenty-four hour general practice/emergency clinic in Baltimore, Maryland for two and half years following graduation from veterinary school. She then decided to move back to New England and joined the Animal Hospital of Nashua staff in 2007. She enjoys working in both the general practice (preventative medicine, diagnosis and treatment of complicated diseases), as well as emergency medicine and surgery.

Dr. Dressel is happy to be back in New England closer to family and friends. She enjoys spending time with her new daughter, Ryleigh, her husband, Rob, and her new puppy, Kezar. You may find her at a Patriots or Red Sox game, as she was born and raised a New England sports fan, and this has never changed.

Dr. Dressel is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Amy Earl, DVM

 

Dr. Amy Earl

Dr. Amy Earl received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois and her Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She moved to New England to complete her degree in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University.  Dr. Earl grew to love the area while in school, and after graduation, decided to make the move to New England permanent.  

Dr. Earl’s special interests include dentistry, preventative medicine, and exotic animal medicine. As a private practitioner, she strives to honor the human-animal bond and enable pet owners to make informed decisions regarding the care of their pets. 

In her spare time, Dr. Earl enjoys attending continuing education events, spending time with her husband and three cats, reading, hiking, and playing the guitar. 

Dr. Earl is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Jessica Gramlich, DVM

 

 

Dr. Gramlich

 

Dr. Gramlich received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a year long internship at a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital in Rhode Island where she gained experience in surgery and internal medicine including sub-specialties such as radiology, ophthalmology, oncology, and dermatology. Dr. Gramlich is now happy to be associated with a hospital committed to high quality medicine and excellent client communication.

Dr. Gramlich grew up in the beautiful state of Maine.  She attended the University of New Hampshire for her undergraduate degree.  An Undergraduate Research Fellowship at UNH, gave her the opportunity to work in a laboratory. This lead to a position at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA, where she co-authored several articles for medical research journals. 

She is thrilled to have returned to her roots in New England, currently residing in Massachusetts with her boyfriend Mike and two dogs Emma and Delia. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, visiting family and friends, dancing, yoga and going out for breakfast.

Dr. Gramlich is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).

Brian Moore, DVM

Dr. Brian Moore received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and Masters Degree of Science in Laboratory Animal Medicine from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Animal Surgical and Emergency Center, one of the most respected referral hospitals in Los Angeles, California. After fulfilling the Internship, he served as Staff Veterinarian for the Division of Teaching and Research Resources at Tufts University. Dr. Moore's research experience extends to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia, where he completed research on a new strain of rabies virus and presented his findings to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Dr. Moore joined our staff in July of 2010 with extensive experience in small animal medicine, surgery, and the treatment of exotic animal species.

Dr. Moore is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the Association of Sugar Glider Veterinarians.

In his spare time Dr. Moore enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
